SDGs
Description:
Until now, mobile ecosystems have been centralized in the hands of few proprietary companies, resulting in rising concern around privacy, user control and fair competition on a global scale. "A Vision for a Decentralized and Ethical Mobile App System" will illustrate and discuss significant efforts towards decentralizing app distribution by improving open source solutions, privacy centric practices and current user empowerment efforts to create human-centered alternatives to proprietary app stores.

Hybrid Format: We will ensure that both online and onsite participants have equal opportunities to contribute by strategically placing the microphone and cameras to capture the discussions effectively for both audiences. We will encourage deeper conversations and allow all voices to be heard by having a dedicated online moderator monitor chat interactions to maintain engagement and online contributions. We will utilize real time polling, survey and engagement software embedded in our presentation, enabling participants to engage actively regardless of their location, fostering inclusivity for both in-person and virtual participants.
