Biography

Roxana Radu is currently a PhD candidate in International Relations/Political Science at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva (Switzerland). She holds a BA from the University of Bucharest (Romania) and a masters’ degree in Political Science from the Central European University (Budapest), where she also worked as a program coordinator and researcher with the Center for Media and Communication Studies (CMCS). Additionally she has been part of the Next Generation Leadership programme of the Internet Society (ISOC). Her expertise includes (new) media regulation, social uses of new technologies, civil society empowerment, educational governance and social change. Her current research investigates the ways in which the governance of the internet is negotiated in the framework of regional and global institutions.
